Deniece Hardy BSc, RGN, RM, MSc

Senior Lecturer in Midwifery

Deniece is a Senior Lecturer for Midwifery in the School of Health Sciences at the University of ÐÓ°ÉappÏÂÔØ. Prior to her role with the University of ÐÓ°ÉappÏÂÔØ, Deniece had a diverse NHS career within acute and community midwifery practice. She has recently moved from her position as Delivery Suite Manager and her previous roles have focused on intrapartum care, fetal monitoring, quality assurance, education, mentoring and personalised birth planning.

Deniece has a keen interest in caring for complex individuals within the maternity setting and leading the maternity enhanced care team in collaboration with Obstetricians, Anesthetists, Intensive Care and Outreach. She is currently studying for her PGCert in Clinical Education. Deniece is a link lecturer at Darent Valley Hospital and a personal tutor.

Research / Scholarly interests

Deniece has undertaken a Primary research study of Neonatal outcomes following one prior LSCS. A Logistic Regression was undertaken to compare neonatal outcomes based on the intended mode of delivery (VBAC versus ERCS) by measuring Apgar and NNU admissions.
