Frequently Asked Questions

How do I access AWP?

Type in your browser address bar. Alternatively it can be accessed from the main portal page (part way down on the right hand side).

A member of my staff is full time but they don't have 1 FTE (1505 hours) how do I get this updated?

Please contact the AWP team via the AWP support email address and we will look into why this has happened and update accordingly.

Please note that when we roll over from one year to the next, new starters in the previous session are likely to have a reduced FTE.  Please contact the team and we will be able to update this for you.

I have been allocated  too many hours who do I talk to to resolve this?

Please contact your line manager/allocator as they are responsible for your workload.  The AWP support team cannot alter allocations.

What is the minimum level I should be allocated?

We expect all academic staff to be allocated to at least 85%.

Where have the student numbers for 2023/24 come from?

For all core modules we have used the numbers provided by Faculties as part of the planning round.  For optional modules that ran in 2022/23 we have used those attached to the module in June 2023 as a base.  We have yet to finalise the timetable for actual numbers to be uploaded into AWP however once this has been agreed we will contact you.

A module I wish to allocate against is not in AWP how is this resolved?

Please contact the AWP team via the AWP support email address and we will look into why this has happened and update accordingly.

My manager has updated my workload but not published it, why can’t I see the changes?

You can only see the updated changes once your line manager publishes the workload.
