Public transport

An Oyster card is critical to transport in London, you can't get on a bus or tube without one unless you have a UK bank debit card with a contactless facility. You can apply for a Student Oyster photocard

The halls are served immediately by several bus routes, which you can take to various other modes of public transport. Available from the halls are:

  • The 286 to Cutty Sark via Blackheath.
  • The 162 to Eltham Station or New Eltham station, from which you can take a south-eastern train into central London.
  • The 132 to North ÐÓ°ÉappÏÂÔØ links with the Jubilee line.

What to expect

After unpacking your things, the best thing to do is to get to know the people who are living around you. A great way to meet people is simply to leave your door open (if you are in the room!) and say hi to everyone who comes past! There are a huge number of activities to get stuck in to during Fresher's Week, which is a great time to meet new people and try new things.
