I’ve chosen this photograph as it represents my breakthrough in London on achieving my dream job as a VIP Concierge Manager. This would have not been possible to get without my degree.
Memories of ÐÓ°ÉappÏÂÔØ
I arrived in London in 2004, not knowing much English, not knowing anyone and really not knowing what to expect. I had heard wonders about the University and the campus. But being there and experiencing it first-hand was amazing.
When I thought about coming over to London to do my degree, I had no idea which university to choose from. So when I enrolled a English speaking course at the British Council Institute in Lisbon they told me about ÐÓ°ÉappÏÂÔØ. After doing some research, I can say it was love at first sight! I remember my first day, I was mesmerised by the library, all the buildings and, most of all, from all the staff who from day one made me feel so welcome. Being a student at University of Greenwich shaped me to be the person I am today.
Life after ÐÓ°ÉappÏÂÔØ
Since my graduation, in 2007, I have worked very hard to be where I am today. I managed to get a job shortly after my graduation, and since then I have progressed a lot in my career. Getting as much experience as possible, meeting a lot of people, being promoted, and definitely always finding new challenges have all been possible thanks to ÐÓ°ÉappÏÂÔØ. To be honest, I pinch myself just thinking about the opportunity that I had to be a student at the University.
