Teacher, Kelvin Grove Primary School

I made some great friends throughout my time here - both through my course and my work with the Students' Union. They were a great source of support throughout my time at university and that has continued since.

Memories of ÐÓ°ÉappÏÂÔØ

Having grown up in South East London, I have a real affinity with the area. This led me to want to teach here and I knew that ÐÓ°ÉappÏÂÔØ had strong partnerships with many schools across the South East London area. But I really became determined to study at ÐÓ°ÉappÏÂÔØ after reading the course specification. This determination was strengthened after interviewing with and meeting the inspiring staff.

I loved my placements because they gave me an opportunity to apply the theory I had studied and experiment with different approaches to teaching and learning. I learned how to reflect on my practice and combine this with my assessments of the children to plan for progression.

Life after ÐÓ°ÉappÏÂÔØ

I currently teach Year 6 and previously taught Year 5 and Reception. The structure of the course at ÐÓ°ÉappÏÂÔØ allowed me to develop the necessary knowledge and skills to teach across the primary phase and this proved very beneficial when I applied for jobs. I would absolutely recommend the course; it will give you a solid theoretical grounding and great opportunities to develop your practice.
