This is the photo I have used for my PhD student card. Without the incredible experience I had at the University of ÐÓ°ÉappÏÂÔØ, I would not be where I am today.
Memories of ÐÓ°ÉappÏÂÔØ
From registering at the university on a very pleasant and quiet September day in 2015 to the scorching hot day I graduated in July 2018, I have so many fond memories of the University of ÐÓ°ÉappÏÂÔØ. I enjoyed the lovely old architecture of the Maritime Campus, hearing the music from the Conservatoire, and the very light and comfortable contemporary, easy to use library.
Thanks to my brilliant and supportive lecturers as well as the STAART community, I graduated with a First Class BA Hons degree and the LLT Department Prize for Best Dissertation.
Life after ÐÓ°ÉappÏÂÔØ
I earned a scholarship to study an MRes in History at the University of Strathclyde and subsequently a scholarship to study a PhD in History and Diplomacy at the University of Strathclyde. Neither of my postgraduate opportunities would have been possible if it were not for the lecturers at the University of ÐÓ°ÉappÏÂÔØ. The countless hours that they spent replying to my emails and the advice and support that they gave me has really formed my path as an aspiring academic. I also gained a lot of confidence due to their positive and encouraging attitudes. The Language Department and the endless and great efforts from the lecturers and language assistants for French and Italian have developed my interest in language teaching and I now tutor languages and humanities as well as studying.
