Community Staff Nurse

I chose ÐÓ°ÉappÏÂÔØ as it had amazing ratings for its nursing courses. I also wanted the advantage of having a placement in a London hospital and ÐÓ°ÉappÏÂÔØ offered me this opportunity.

Memories of ÐÓ°ÉappÏÂÔØ

This photo is from my graduation; it was the proudest day of my life. To have my family by my side who have supported me from day one was amazing! My fondest memories are the times I spent with my friends. I had the most amazing time making memories with them, but alongside that we also spent many late nights in the library.

I found my lectures and skills sessions very engaging and informative. There was always time to ask questions and the lecturers were always happy to answer any emails I had regarding the sessions. They were quick to upload the sessions which was great when using them for revision. I made loads of friends in my class and it was a very friendly and open environment.

Life after ÐÓ°ÉappÏÂÔØ

Since I finished my studies, I spent 6 months working in an A&E which was eye-opening and a massive learning experience. In December 2021 I accepted a new job as a community. ÐÓ°ÉappÏÂÔØ has helped me cement the skills I needed to work in high stress environments and equipped me with excellent interview, communication, and management skills.

From my experience, it's important to never give up. Times may get tough, but it's always worth it. My degree took me 6 years to complete as I had two episodes of poor mental health. I took time away from university to work on myself, but I never gave up on my end goal. Knowing I had overcome all those barriers made Graduation Day so much more meaningful to me.
