I chose this photo as it shows that once you graduate you can achieve your dream job. My degree has helped me get where I am today and as a CSI, I use the knowledge I learnt during my degree daily.
Memories of ÐÓ°ÉappÏÂÔØ
I have always loved forensics and wanted to work in the field. I chose ÐÓ°ÉappÏÂÔØ after going to an Open Day. I was taken back by the Medway campus and the members of the faculty whom I met on the day.
I really enjoyed studying at the University and everything about the Forensic Science programme. I miss Charlie Pilbeam-Bailey and Linda Brownlow pushing me and my course mates to do our best.
I loved the variety of topics offered through the programme; we didn't just study forensics but also genetics, biochemistry, and other courses to help widen our knowledge.
Life after ÐÓ°ÉappÏÂÔØ
I have been working for Kent Police for four and a half years, three and a half of those as a CSI. I hope to move over to Forensic Collision Investigation in the future. For anyone about to enter the job market, I encourage you to join the organisation you want to work for in any capacity, as applying for your dream job internally is much easier than applying externally. Work hard and enjoy your time at university, it's over far too quickly!
