Biomedical Scientist, Dumfries & Galloway Health Board

The option to study online meant I could study relevant modules in a way that fitted in with my young family at that time and were applicable to my work. The format of the course was excellent for CPD.

Memories of ÐÓ°ÉappÏÂÔØ

Memories which I treasure most are with my fellow students and the faculty administration who were kind from the start of my course. Discussions led by experts in their respective fields were invaluable to my experience, while I was able to connect with students from all over the country and beyond.

My Snapshot was taken from the official photography taken on my graduation day.

Life after ÐÓ°ÉappÏÂÔØ

The programme and my final project inspired my interest in Internal Quality Assurance. This interest led me to give a presentation on the subject at the 2011 IBMS Congress; a poster presentation at the IMLS World Congress 2012 in Berlin and write an article in the March 2013 IBMS gazette.

I am now a Biomedical Scientist in the Pathology department at Dumfries & Galloway Royal Infirmary. I am the section head for special staining involved in Internal Quality Assurance.
