I chose the University of ÐÓ°ÉappÏÂÔØ because of its approach to international students. I felt more at home among the students and teachers from the ÐÓ°ÉappÏÂÔØ Business School than anywhere I had been before.
Memories of ÐÓ°ÉappÏÂÔØ
It’s hard to pick a favourite moment from university because the whole time spent there was so memorable.
We had many group projects and through these we learnt more about ourselves and each other. Because of that, I am still friends with a number of my classmates. I had a lot of fun while studying at University of ÐÓ°ÉappÏÂÔØ.
The course I chose was Business with Finance and it was above my expectations. I wasn’t sure if I would fit in right after my enrolment, both because I was a second year direct entry student and I was quite nervous about the language, as English isn't my first language. Furthermore, I was nervous about the teaching style, which is quite different from the university I studied at during my first year.
However, I was impressed with the help and support I received from the teachers, my classmates and the university overall and I will be forever thankful to them for giving me the best time of my life.
Life after ÐÓ°ÉappÏÂÔØ
After completing my studies, I went back to my home country and on top of my knowledge from the university, I started to learn about coding. I have since landed a job as a Junior Business Intelligence Developer, where I am using a lot of the knowledge and skills I developed in university, in addition to my new skills in programming (Python, Node.js and SQL). Even though I am not working in finance, my degree has helped me in getting this job and will be important for my future career development.
I am planning to return to ÐÓ°ÉappÏÂÔØ to study my masters and I can’t wait to start this part of my journey.
