This picture was taken right after my final dissertation presentation. I went with my classmate to the library to return a book and decided to take this picture. It reminds myself how hard I worked. The Drill Hall Library holds a special place in my heart.
Memories of ÐÓ°ÉappÏÂÔØ
As a Sierra Leonean immigrant travelling overseas for the first time to study, the Drill Hall Library was like a gold mine for me. I spent most of my time here while studying.
University of ÐÓ°ÉappÏÂÔØ shaped me. I was like a diamond in the rough without pressure (pressure makes a diamond, as the saying goes). Those long nights, group projects, meeting deadlines, research, experiments, lectures, essays and presentations prepared me for life afterwards.
Life after ÐÓ°ÉappÏÂÔØ
It was only once I landed my current job as an Area Manager for Amazon UK Services, that I realised just how much of an impact my time at ÐÓ°ÉappÏÂÔØ has had on me. Meeting deadlines, excellent interpersonal skills, team leadership, report-writing, delivering presentations, and a good work ethic are traits and skills which I developed as a result of the knowledge, discipline and experience I acquired from the University.
