Memories of ÐÓ°ÉappÏÂÔØ
I think my fondest memories would be navigating the endless maze of corridors at the Old Royal College campus, the vast resources available at the maths and computing labs, studying very late into the nights and walking around the beautiful campus and ÐÓ°ÉappÏÂÔØ Park.
The course was rewarding and fulfilling. I enjoyed the evening classes, and the diverse majors and electives that combined together made the course very worthwhile. The assignments were very relevant to the course, and the diversity of course lecturers added to it too.
My Snapshot shows me serene, focused and dedicated to the day at hand. It represents part of what I learned at ÐÓ°ÉappÏÂÔØ. To be successful, one has to be focused and dedicated to the task at hand.
Life after ÐÓ°ÉappÏÂÔØ
I’ve mainly worked in Big Tech companies and start-ups, shaping, architecting and delivering computing, IOT and Cloud technologies. In these roles I’ve leaned heavily on the computing, science and networking foundations I learned at ÐÓ°ÉappÏÂÔØ.
I now work at Google as a Principal Architect. I’m based within the ‘Cloud’ organisation is similar to a CTO, but outfacing to our high value Enterprise clients. I am the lead architect (design, strategy, technical subject matter expert and thought leader) on Google's technology solutions and how these solve the critical business problems of a specific customer.
