Professor Noel-Ann Bradshaw
Deputy Dean, Faculty of Engineering & Science
Noel-Ann Bradshaw has been involved with the University of ÐÓ°ÉappÏÂÔØ since 2004 when she started her BSc Mathematics degree as a mature student. She has delivered a wide range of teaching in mathematics, computing and operational research as well as held several roles including Admissions and New Arrivals Tutor for the School of Computing and Mathematical Sciences and Director of Employability for the Faculty of Architecture, Computing and Humanities. She has also spent time in Industry as a Senior Data Scientist of a large retail chain and at London Metropolitan University as Head of School of Computing and Digital Media.
Her research interests include all things data-related, including Data Mining, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. She is also known for her research on Florence Nightingale’s contribution to statistics and use and management of data.
She has also contributed to pedagogical mathematical research and many of her curriculum innovations such as the Maths Arcade and undergraduate conference Tomorrow’s Mathematicians Today, have been taken up by other universities and organisations.
Responsibilities within the university
To provide strategic leadership within the Faculty and play a lead role in the delivery of the faculty's strategic priorities as directed by the PVC/Executive Dean.
To be responsible for the strategic overview of the Faculty’s partnerships including industry relationships, transnational academic partnerships, domestic partner colleges.

She has undertaken extensive research looking at Florence Nightingale’s contribution to statistics and use and management of data.
