Annemarie Zijlema

Dr Annemarie Zijlema MSc, PhD

Senior Lecturer in Computer Science

Dr Annemarie Zijlema is a human-computer interaction researcher and lecturer, coming from an information and communication background. She is strongly drawn to research with cognitive or neurological components. Her current research focuses on personal information management and autobiographical remembering with personal possessions. Her PhD research was multidisciplinary, combining cognitive psychology with design and Human-Computer Interaction, looking at how personal possessions aid autobiographical remembering.

Dr Annemarie Zijlema obtained her PhD degree with the Materialising Memories programme at the University of Technology Sydney and Eindhoven University of Technology. She holds an International Master's degree in Library and Information Science from the Royal School of Library and Information Science in Copenhagen and obtained her bachelor's degree in Information Services and Management from the Hanze University of Applied Sciences Groningen. Her PhD research focused on personal possessions as cues for autobiographical remembering.
