Access our student talent
Placements allow you to bring in talent for a low-risk trial period before offering students a full-time position. Interns can bring a fresh perspective and new ideas to your organisation, which can lead to increased productivity and efficiency. Offering internships demonstrates your commitment to investing in the development of young professionals and can help enhance your reputation as an employer. We will provide you with all the support you need to advertise and recruit to the role to secure our best talent.
Access our world-leading academics
We’ve done a lot of research, so you don’t have to. Find out how we can help you tap into our world-leading research, industry expertise and specialist knowledge. Discuss your ideas and challenges with us and we can help you explore how we can work together.
Upskill your workforce with CPD courses
We know how expensive it can be to continuously recruit new staff. We can help you upskill and retain your existing workforce. We will work with you to understand your specific needs and create tailored courses to address your skills gap and ensure courses work with our business working model. We offer a variety of options to suit your needs, such as online delivery or a once-a-week campus visit.
Employ our graduates
We can give you access to a vast cohort of bright young graduates looking for their first step into employment. Our graduates are highly enthusiastic, ambitious, and motivated and come at a low investment cost to your business. They will give you a fresh perspective that will enable you to support the growth of your business. You can connect with our graduates at one of our in-person or online recruitment events or advertise roles through our communication channels, all fully supported via our Partnership Hub Team.
Join us on the journey of sustainability
Supporting and acting responsibly on the green issues of today and tomorrow is crucial to the future success of the planet. In recognition of the skills gap facing the ‘green sector’ and our commitment to reach net zero by 2030, we have significantly dialled up our capacity and strategic commitment to sustainability and partnerships. We want to work with businesses that share our vision and values for a sustainable future. You can join our working group of employers exploring how to meet the needs of business through university teaching and learning or collaborate to deliver ‘Living Lab’ projects with our staff and students. These will provide you with a portfolio of social value work/case studies to include in your ESG strategy.
Co-design courses
We value input from businesses on our curriculum development. Sharing ideas and business needs will ensure future students are equipped with the skills and knowledge that businesses require and help address the wider skills gap. We take a consultative approach to co-design, recognising the time constraints that businesses face. We’ll ensure that delivery is convenient and easy for you, so you can make an impact in this important area of development.
Join an advisory board
Working collaboratively with businesses, we can design and shape education courses, ensuring they address sector skill shortages and demands. You can help us create the graduates that you need for your business by joining one of our advisory boards.
Collaborate on knowledge exchange and research
As a university, we have seen the benefits of businesses working with academics to solve real business problems. We can connect you to our world-leading academics in a variety of subjects. This is a powerful collaboration that will help your business innovate and grow through new products and services.
Make a difference with a scholarship
Many of our partners choose to set up scholarships aimed at specific groups of students or courses that resonate with their business. It is an opportunity to carry out your business’s philanthropic endeavours. You can choose which area you would like the scholarship to cover, and we can help connect you to relevant academics. We will also promote the scholarship with our PR network.
Offer support with mentoring
As an employer, you can make a significant impact on the lives and careers of our students by becoming a mentor. Mentoring is a powerful way to share your knowledge, skills, and experiences with the next generation of professionals, and to help them navigate the challenges and opportunities of their chosen field. By becoming a mentor, you can help our students develop their skills, build their confidence, and expand their networks. You can provide guidance and advice on topics such as career development, job searching, and workplace communication. You can also share your own experiences and insights, and help our students learn from your successes and challenges.
Support outreach activities such as school visits
As an employer, you may want to reach out to local schools as part of your corporate social responsibility strategy to engage in community activities. We can support you on this journey with our established network of local schools and colleges. We deliver several activities and interactions that are designed to support young people with making decisions about their next steps. You can share your own personal career path to inspire the next generation and help students plan for their next move after college.
