The One University initiative aims to help the university identify and adopt better ways of working together. The programme will focus on how we can break down barriers and unnecessary processes by working collectively and collaboratively across the institution. As part of this we will map how various parts of the university complete the same tasks, learn from each other, and adopt the best ways of working.
There are currently 18 trained ProcessFix Facilitators across the institution, who assist with these projects.
Projects over the last 12 months:
Over the past year, the One University initiative has reviewed a number of processes across the university to streamline tasks in order to enhance the staff and student experience.
- Resit Mark Collection – reviewing of the process to reduce complexities and unnecessary duplication.
- PGR Student Journey – simplification of the PGR student journey from start to finish in order to make the process more streamlined for staff and students.
- CAS Renewals – Review process to reduce knock on effect on other services.
- Apprenticeships -review of the Apprenticeships process from application to onboarding in order to make the process more streamlined and compliant for university staff, learners and employers.
- Staff Recruitment –Streamline the current process to minimise bureaucracy, reduce administration, encourage manager/employee self-service/self-sufficiency and improve the candidate experience. The aim of the project is to identify and resolve challenges around the current timeline, complexities, and obstacles.
